L’équipe nationale a perdu de deux places dans le classement mondial de la FIFA pour le mois de juillet, tel que rapporté par l’instance internationale sur son site officiel ce jeudi. Cette baisse de classement a positionné Les Verts à la 46e place, avec un total de 1474,13 points. Malgré cette légère régression, l’équipe reste déterminée à améliorer ses performances et à regagner des places dans les prochains classements.
Au niveau continental, l’équipe nationale maintient sa position à la 7e place, devançant des équipes telles que le Cameroun (51e mondial), le Mali (53e) et l’Afrique du Sud (57e).
L’Argentine, récemment couronnée championne de la Copa América, conserve sa première place dans ce classement FIFA, suivie de près par la France et l’Espagne. L’Espagne, le nouveau champion d’Europe, a réussi à se hisser à la troisième place du podium qui était occupée par la Belgique, éliminée en huitièmes de finale par la France (1-0).
Les performances les plus remarquables ont été accomplies par la Turquie, qui a atteint les quarts de finale de l’Euro, lui permettant de grimper de 16 places au classement (26e position). De même, le Venezuela, quart de finaliste de la Copa America, a progressé de 17 rangs (37e position).
