Suite à sa nomination par le bureau fédéral lors de sa session en février dernier, Aziz Lahoussine, le sélectionneur national de la catégorie des moins de 17 ans, a immédiatement commencé à travailler. Accompagné de son équipe composée de Zakaria Benabed et Faycal Bentalaa, il a parcouru le pays à la recherche de jeunes talents prometteurs afin de former une équipe compétitive pour se qualifier à la CAN 2025. Des évaluations ont été réalisées dans plusieurs régions d’Algérie, notamment à Oran, Bechar, Constantine, Alger et Blida, en plus de l’observation des matchs de championnat et de la Coupe d’Algérie. Une première liste de joueurs a été établie et tous seront réunis au centre technique national de Sidi Moussa du 30 mars au 5 avril pour une phase de présélection. À l’issue de ce stage, une nouvelle équipe nationale U17 sera formée et participera aux compétitions internationales.
